Summer is almost half over

I am adjusting to Prince George summers. Still haven't located a lake. But a search on line says there are lots of them. Problem is I want one where I can take Kuta, where I can wade in the water, and sit with my little dog on the shore, without a lot of folks around me. But I am not at all secure in going somewhere isolated with few people around. I am frankly worried about bears. We see them on a weekly basis either in the neighbour's acreage or our own. So really I am not asking for much, right?
